Creating a vibrant and user-friendly downtown
The Downtown Guelph Business Association (DGBA) is downtown Guelph's Business Improvement Area (BIA). BIA's are funded through a tax levy on property owners within a geographic boundary click here for BIA map. The DGBA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The Board is composed of fourteen voting directors who are elected on a four-year term following each municipal election. All BIA members are eligible to put their names forward for election. There are also three non-voting positions representing the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, the University of Guelph, and the City of Guelph. Copies of Board minutes are available by contacting the DGBA office.
There are currently two vacancies on the DGBA Board of Directors. The Nomination Committee is welcoming applications from business and property owners who are interested in joining the Board. Nomination forms are available here. For more information, please contact the DGBA office.
